Miracle Shop Hosted by Wheat Ridge Center for Music and Arts – 2025 Dates – Dec 15th, 16, and 17th

WR Miracle shop began as small in school ‘Santa Shops’ for families that were not eligible for holiday help from other shops by Family Engagement Liaisons (either because they were just above income criteria or did not make the sign up cut off).  After the school clusures of Vivian, Wilmore-Davis and Kullerstrand Elementary schools, Liaisons no longer had space and staff capacity to house the Santa Shops. In 2024 WRC partnered with Wheat Ridge Center for Music and Arts (Located at the United Methodist Chutch on 38th) to find a new home to combine the shops into one location!

DECEMBER HOLIDAY FESTIVAL

The City of Wheat Ridge is proud to host the annual Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting! Step into a winter wonderland and embrace the joyous spirit of the holiday season at the City of Wheat Ridge’s Holiday Celebration!

Photos with Santa are free to our community members and will be done on a first-come, first-served basis. To see Santa, you must have a ticket! Tickets will be available beginning at 2:45 p.m. at the South side of Wheat Ridge Cyclery. We will do our best to serve as many families as possible for a seated photo, but unfortunately, in order to get Santa back to his workshop on time, we cannot meet the demand for a seated picture for the entire community. We encourage you to arrive at the event early to give you the best chance possible to secure a ticket for a seated Santa picture. If you arrive and no tickets are available, don’t worry! There will be several more festive photo opportunities throughout the event.

Saturday December 6th, 3:00– 6:30 pm On The Green

WHEAT RIDGE SCHOOLS INTERNATIONAL NIGHT – Coming March 2026

On March 6, 2025 Highlights Everitt Middle School was transformed into a global showcase of cultures, flavors, and talents during our annual International Night event. What made this evening truly special was the collaborative effort of students, families, and community members who came together to create a vibrant celebration of diversity and unity.

Leading up to the event, students, families and community partners worked tirelessly to prepare for International Night, bringing together their unique cultural backgrounds and traditions to share with the broader community. From planning performances to cooking traditional dishes, every aspect of the event was a collaborative endeavor, reflecting the spirit of teamwork and inclusion that defines our school community.

Wheat Ridge Coalition was able to collaborate with Everitt planning commitee to incorporate best practices for including our community friends in hosting their own tables and adopting a country of their own to learn about and plan a small tasting menu around. This year, we were able to partner with Convivio Cafe and represent Guatemala! Convivio Cafe is a locally women owned Guatemalan Cafe which provided us with a donation of 200 pieces of chamupurradas for families to try. Our Rotary and The Action Center friends were also thrilled to host their own tables this year again!

Throughout the evening, families and community members mingled and connected with one another, sharing stories, laughter, and a sense of belonging. It was a true celebration of unity in diversity, where people from all walks of life came together to appreciate and learn from one another.
